Miss Universe 2011

Hey Dolls,


As many of you may already know, the 60th anniversary of the Miss Universe Pageant aired live from Sao Paulo, Brazil earlier tonight. Eighty-nine contestants from around the world proudly represented their countries in hopes of becoming Miss Universe 2011. The contestants were first narrowed down to the top sixteen. based on pre-judged segments. Then it was time for the infamous swimsuit segment of the show. The ladies gracefully showed off their hard work and dedication by wearing fun-coloured, flirtatious bikini bathing suits. Their bodies were simply gorgeous!

Six contestants were eliminated, leaving ten lovely ladies to go on to the next segment - Evening Wear! 'Evening Wear' has always been my favourite part of any pageant that I've viewed to date. The gowns were not as extravagant as I had expected. However, I found Miss Angola's dress to be the most captivating. Her beautiful skin was complimented by the colour and fabric used to construct an impeccably detailed gown. The sweetheart neckline, fierce slit, and fearless tail added just the right amount of sexy to this stunning piece. Amazing!

Miss Angola wowed the judges enough to earn her way to the top five, along with : Australia, Brazil, China, and Phillippines. The Q&A segment flew by pretty quickly. Nevertheless, each contestant handled her question with ample intelligence. Now, the heat was on. Who would have the honourable title of Miss Universe 2011. And the winner of the Miss Universe 2011 Pageant .......................is
