D Squared² Women's SS2012 Top Picks

Hey Dolls,

These are Sassy's favourite looks from the two D Squared runway shows during Milan Fashion Week 2011.

Mixing pieces with different tones always makes for a unique, and interesting look !

This 'borrowed from the boys' look is very much on trend right now; layering basic pieces you already own is a great way to achieve a similar outfit.

Whoever said you can't rock a swimsuit apart from the beach/pool ? Layering this swimsuit with jackets, a shirt, and a belt transformed the entire vibe. Not saying it's ready-to-wear, but it is undoubtedly stylish !

Chic and colourful. Love it !

Sassy

Milano Fashion Week : Dolce & Gabbana Summer 2012

Hey Dolls,

Couture designers - Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, have decided to integrate the D&G label into the more conventional Dolce & Gabbana line. September 22nd, 2011 marked the end of the noteworthy D&G label with their conclusive runway show. Yes, you've indeed read correctly; D&G has made it's last and final appearance. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection is the grand finale for the luxury label, and of course, they went out with a bang.

Brilliant patchwork and various texture combinations created quite the avant-garde feel to the collection. Mainly centered around foulard - the collection featured shorts, flowy skirts, mini dresses, tunics, and much more. The designers brought a whole new outlook on prints to this year's Fashion Week events by cleverly manipulating scarf prints taken from Dolce and Gabbana’s earlier catalogs; hints of Hermes and Versace were also sources of inspiration. The patterns were comprised of crests, flowers, medallions, stripes, and polka dots. Colourful, lavish, sophisticated, and contemporary are all words that can be used to describe to these magnificent articles of clothing. The pieces are simply enchanting!

Sunglasses, gold jewelry, matching scarves, and beach hats amped up the looks for the runway. Scarves were even used to create the fancy footwear worn by the stunning models - tres artistic !  Domenico and Stefano have certainly left a legacy behind with this awe-inspiring Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Enjoy the gorgeous images !

Men's Dsquared² SS12 (Milan Fashion Week)

Hey Dolls and Gents,

Below are the men's pieces from the Dsquared² Spring/Summer 2012 collection. There are quite a few pieces of swimwear included in this collection, as well as beach-worthy hats and sunglasses. Loving the brights and tailored suits for the summer ! Many layered looks were styled for the runway show, and they are nothing shy of stylish. The jackets are undoubtedly the focal point of this line - the red biker jacket is especially amazing if you dare to wear.

All of you fashion conscious males out there are welcome to leave your opinions at the end of this post. Which look is your favourite ? What piece would you swap from one look to another ? How would you make this collection your own ? Ladies feel free to share your thoughts too !

Enjoy the pictures !

Milan Fashion Week Recap : Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012

Hey Dolls,

Excitement filled the room at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 runway show. The luxury Italian label took a trip to the 1950s and brought back the essence of Southern Italian fashion to their new line. Colourful vegetables, vintage appliques, and extravagant beading were displayed on skirt suits, floaty dresses, and Spring coats. The bandeau tops, high-waisted shorts, corsets, and flirty playsuits are especially appealing elements within this collection. Tres chic !
